Every Wanderer Welcome
Accessibilitya sanctuary with the door open
Last updated October 20, 2026
Wild Wandering is meant for every body and every way of moving through the world. We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Before launch, every page was tested with automated accessibility tools at desktop and phone sizes, and checked for keyboard use.
What we've built in
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page, and visible focus outlines for keyboard users
- Text and background colors chosen to meet contrast guidelines
- Descriptive text for meaningful images; decorative backgrounds are hidden from screen readers
- Labeled form fields and buttons, and status messages announced to screen readers
- Animations that stop when your device is set to reduce motion
- Pages that work when text is enlarged and on small screens
Known limitations
- On narrow phone screens, the Moon Phase Tracker's thirteen-cycle grid scrolls sideways within its box so each day stays large enough to tap.
- The Daily Draw's shuffle and card-turning are visual; every card's name and reading is also provided as text.
- Background artwork is decorative and has no text description.
Tell us about a barrier
If anything on this site is hard to use, please tell us. Let us know the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use, and we will do our best to fix it or get you the information another way. We aim to reply within five business days.
